You simply drop into LIMBO, and it forces you to find your own meaning through exploration, puzzle solving, and inhaling its lonely world along the way. The game opens with a child’s silhouette waking in a shades-of-gray world, himself all black save his tiny, white eyes.
Is limbo a good game?
The gameplay is nothing to write home about, but the incredibly eerie atmosphere it creates using its monotone art style and impeccable sound design is some of the best I’ve seen in a long time. Though short, I personally loved the game. It helped that I played it in the dark, really helps with the mood.
