Is 7 Wonders duel hard to play?
Although the rules are complicated, 7 Wonders: Duel is fairly easy to play once you get the hang of it—but that could take a while. Although it wasn’t a big hit with our family, we realize the enjoyment of a board game all comes down to personal taste.
Can you play 7 Wonders duel with 7 Wonders?
Science works completely differently. You get 4 wonder boards and once 7 wonders are built between both players no more can be built Both players play from a shared pool of face up cards. There are lots of differences, the gameplay mechanics are similar but it’s not the same.
Is 7 Wonders duel worth it?
Short answer: I think it’s worth getting Duel for two players. The play and strategy feel a bit different than the original. It’s much more direct, rather than using a dummy player to your advantage. To save on money, I suggest getting 7 Wonders.
Can you play 7 Wonders with 2 players?
The game comes with an “expert” variant for 2 players. On each turn, the player who holds this card gets to play the dummy player. They draw a card from the face-down deck, add it to their hand, then choose two cards, one for them and one for the dummy player.

However, players who spread their building choices out can build up a defensive strategy against a military or scientific victory.
