Is Layla hard to play on guitar?
It is not very difficult at all, I learnt it pretty early into my guitar playing. I prefer it to the original, it’s pretty fun to play.

Layla was sped up in the studio, so all of the pitches went sharp. It’s very noticeable during the piano coda, which is written in C but has to be played in C#.

Layla’s rhythm part is very similar just a lot faster. There’s the Clapton lead part, which is not terrible difficult, and also the Clapton rhythm part, which emulates the first nine notes of the lead an octave lower and then plays chords with leading notes going into each chord.
