FAQ: How To Play Irelia?

Is Irelia hard to learn?

Easy to learn, not the easiest to master in my opinion. I’ve played both at least a few times and here’s my opinion. I would say Irelia is probably the easier of the two. She isn’t a complicated champ overall so you can more easily focus on what you need to work on, which is her minion jumping and engage timing.

Is Irelia easy?

Irelia is fairly easy to get into, but still takes a while to master. Irelia is all about knowing how much damage you can do, how much damage the enemy can do, basically whether trades/all-in’s will favour you. So as you said, she requires a lot of knowledge about when you can, for example, join fights.

How can I play Irelia early game?

Irelia’s early game is actually not bad at all, you just need a game plan. Stack both your passive and conqueror’s on the first 3 minions of the first wave, and engage the enemy with a Q. Your passive + Conqueror’s is enough to out damage most top laners out there.

Is Irelia worth learning?

Irelia is definitely worth this purchase. Her early game is a tad weak, however once she gets a few items to back her up (namely Trinity Force) she is a God at exchanging 1v1. However, unlike most bursty champions, Irelia can fall off later into the game.

League of Legends is a hard game. MOBA veterans and people who read and study guides don’t find it that difficult, but if you’re coming to LoL and don’t read guides on how to play, it will be hard for you too.
